Dagmar Ehling, MAc, LAc, Dipl OM, CFMC
Dagmar Ehling, co-founding partner of Meridian Health Solutions, has been in practice for nearly 37 years and has held a New Mexico license as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico for 33 years of those years. She earned her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM, and has been nationally certified in Oriental Medicine by the NCBAHM (National Certification Board for Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine) since 1989. In 1994, her book The Chinese Herbalist’s Handbook was published; she is the author of several articles.
She was a faculty member at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in Santa Fe, NM for five years, and served as a New Mexico State License examiner for four years. She also spent seven years on the NCBAHM Exam Development Committee for the national Chinese herbal certification exam. In 2007, she was one of the first acupuncturists credentialed at Duke Integrative Medicine. She is a former fellow of the Acupuncture & TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) where she served as the exam development chair. She studied functional medicine with Datis Kharrazian, PhD since 2008 and in 2024 she completed her Certified Functional Medicine Clinician certification through the Kharrazian Institute. For ten years, she taught Chinese herbal medicine and nutrition to physicians in Germany and Italy, and she continues to lecture nationally and online. Recently, she taught a four-hour Functional Medicine Nutrition for Optimal Health course which is available online on-demand to help her patients gain clarity on this complex subject.
Ms. Ehling enjoys working with patients who have women’s health issues concerns, internal medical and metabolic disorders, immune and autoimmune conditions, and hormonal imbalances, and also assists patients undergoing cancer treatment. She offers online lifestyle coaching to improve patients' health via functional medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, and trace mineral salts.
